Delete Your Account
How to delete your account and associated data in The Line, the peer-support app from Gold Line Support™.
App: The Line · Developer: Gold Line Support™ · Last updated: July 7, 2026
Delete your account in the app
If you created an account in The Line (for example, as a peer supporter, administrator, or registered member), you can permanently delete it from within the app at any time:
- Open The Line app and sign in.
- Go to Account & privacy.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account and its associated data are deleted immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email privacy@goldlinesupport.org from the address associated with your account (or describe your account) and ask us to delete it. We’ll process the request and confirm by email, typically within 30 days.
Note: much of The Line can be used without an account (reaching a peer anonymously, daily check-in, grounding tools). Anonymous use isn’t tied to a name or email, so there’s no account to delete in that case.
What is deleted, and what is kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account & profile (email, sign-in credentials, role, phone number if provided) | Deleted |
| Your check-ins and wellbeing notes (mood, stress, sleep) | Deleted |
| Your support requests and in-app messages | Deleted, except where a copy must be retained as noted below |
| Push-notification token | Deleted |
| Limited records we’re legally required to keep, or that are needed for safety or fraud-prevention (e.g., records related to a report of imminent harm) | Kept only as required, then deleted; retained no longer than needed to meet the legal or safety obligation |
| Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer identify you | May be kept (it is not personal data) |
For full details on how The Line handles data, see our Privacy Policy.
